FarmHub ("the Platform") is operated by StanHattie LLC, an Iowa limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use FarmHub.

- Farm profile: farm name, location (county/state), acreage, primary crops, livestock types
- Transaction data: group buy commitments, payment information (processed by Stripe, not stored by us), purchase history
- Listings: equipment descriptions, photos, pricing, market items you post
- Communications: messages sent through the contact form, support emails, community posts

- Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, referral source
- Device information: browser type, operating system, screen size
- Location data: approximate location based on IP address (used for weather and local pricing)

- Platform operation: to provide, maintain, and improve FarmHub features
- Personalization: to show you relevant group buys, grants, and market data based on your farm profile and location

3. Cookies and Analytics
FarmHub uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience. We use:
- Essential cookies: required for the Platform to function (session management, security). These are always active.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity for understanding usage patterns, heatmaps, and session recordings. These are only activated after you consent via the cookie banner.
You can decline analytics cookies through the cookie consent banner. Declining does not affect your ability to use FarmHub. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.

5. Data Sharing

- With service providers: as listed in the subprocessor table above, solely to operate the Platform
- With other users: information you choose to make public (listings, community posts, farm profile name) is visible to other users
- For legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or government request
- For safety: to protect the rights, safety, or property of FarmHub, our users, or the public
- In a business transfer: if StanHattie LLC is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction (you will be notified)
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: your data is retained as long as your account is active
- Inactive accounts: if you have not logged in for 12 months, we will send a reactivation email. Accounts inactive for 18 months may be archived or deleted.
- Deleted accounts: personal data is removed within 30 days of a deletion request. Anonymized transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance.
- Audit logs: retained for a minimum of 2 years
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Data portability: request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt out of analytics: decline analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner at any time

8. Children's Privacy
FarmHub is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@getfarmhub.com and we will promptly delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and post a notice on the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
